Not for the faint of heart, just like Anna Dressed in Blood. Gruesome, gory, bloody, and a total thrill ride! I still don't get Cas's love for Anna. It's a bit creepy to me. But that's okay. The entire book is creepy. Girl of Nightmares is much faster paced than the first book. I enjoyed it a bit more for that reason. Carmel and Thomas are back as Cas's side kicks, in addition to new girl- Jestine.

The characters in this series are snarky and sarcastic and I love it because it relieves the tension of some of the more spine-tingling moments. One thing I love about Blake is that she's got a sense of humor and it shows through the darkness of her books. Also, I'm okay with cliff hangers, but I appreciate that Blake leaves us with some closure at the end of her books. A great read!
