A Borrowed Boyfriend by Angela Casella
5.0

I read my first book by this author earlier this year, that she wrote with another author. And this book is set in the city that those series are in. So I’m already familiar a little with some of the characters in this. Especially the crazy Nicole, or the Fairy Godmother. But I do still need to go back and read her book!

But the mystery of who leaked the video really kind of seemed like it pointed till one certain person, until it didn’t. And I like the way the author kept us kind of guessing, and wondering till the characters had pretty much figured it out for themselves. I mean, it wasn’t a huge mystery, it was easy to figure out as the story went along, but I liked that it was done the way it was.

While both characters had their own backgrounds and reasons for thinking it should only be fake dating, and that the other one wouldn’t want to be with them, for the most part they figured out soon enough that it would be okay to let it be more.

And hey, let’s talk about Mitchell Mountainbottom, I mean Griffin, lol. He could totally be my new book boyfriend. I mean his comment about how guys should read their significant other’s favorite romance novel to learn exactly what she wants was perfect! And then, he didn’t just talk the talk, he walked the walk by reading Marnie’s favorite, and then bringing those fantasies/scenes to life for her. It was just a little bit too perfect that her favorite romance featured a bartender, lol.
