vampiresessah 's review for:
Timeless
by Gail Carriger
So this is the final book of The Parasol Protectorate as such and I must say that I'll really miss it! Luckily there is the sequel to look forward to that will star Prudence and hopefully some other familiar faces as well!
I loved this book as much as the previous four books of the series. Again Carriger managed to write a witty, interesting and engaging story and it has a nice round ending too it that still leaves much room for further adventures untold.
My favourite part about the book where most definitely Lyall & Biffy because I was rooting for them to end up with each other ever since Lyall took care of the newly changed Biffy! To stay with those two characters I have to say that the supposed mystery of the Kingair Pack's Beta's murder wasn't really mysterious at all and rather plain and predictable.
As much as I liked reading this book I have to admit that in the end the story was too fast paced and also a bit too over-the-top especially the development around Biffy and Ivy, you'll know what I mean if you read the book.
While the central story of this book, the journey to Egypt and the further investigation of the God Breaker Plague, didn't really spike my interest and wasn't really solved in the end I have to say that I enjoyed it immensely and I seldom have laughed this much!
I finish this book feeling overall satisfied even though this installment wasn't quite as good as the first three!
