Destiny of the Wolf by Terry Spear
3.0

I just couldn’t love this book. It’s definitely not a bad book. I enjoyed getting to know the pack so well and their personalities. I liked the characters overall and the writing was good.

Specific things I didn’t like:
The fact that the dead twin gave her sisters name and you don’t find out until 80 pages in. Before finding this out you will seriously think the author/editors really messed this book up. Sentences don’t even make sense because their names are switched. It reads like a dead person you know is dead is talking and doing things. As the book goes on, there’s no true driving need for all that confusion. The author could have gotten across the twins fear and need to hide without it. Or at least let us in on the secret earlier as the reader.

The heroine seems like she’s going to be super bad ass but it never really happens. She comes to avenge her sisters death and beats up a group of mean females harassing her in town. I loved her then. However after that she was lame. Especially how she was so enraged at Dorian after he accuses her of plotting to be his mate...then mates him two seconds later. She’s SO angry then all he does is kiss her and she has no backbone.

The author spent a ton of time, like 100 pages describing the heroine in the hospital recovering from her injuries. I felt like I was in an endless loop of her passing out, waking up, being interrogated, hurting herself by trying to get up, passing out...repeat until I wanted to bang my head against a wall.

Also, someone with the ebook version of this will you PLEASE tell me how many times lupus garou is written??? I mean it’s like every page. I couldn’t remember how to spell it correctly and just randomly opened the book and there it was. It got so annoying after awhile.

Final thing I didn’t like which sometimes I don’t mind but here I did - spending so much time in heroines dreams mating the hero. So many dreams and all I wanted was some real life action between the two but instead I had to read about her passing out at the hospital for hours 🙄
