I read this book per recommendation by one of my professors' in order to help me with writing a short story I am working on. I had watched the movie a few years ago, but can definitely say I enjoyed this book much more than the movie (although the movie is very good). Highsmith's ability to make a creepy situation, but keep it so understated, is unrivaled.
