As an avid Hunger Games fanatic growing up, this was everything I expected from Suzanne Collins. The connections to the original trilogy, as well as TBOSAS were perfect and felt like a puzzle piece that fit perfectly. 

I’ve seen some reviews who felt the name dropping and connections were disingenuous, however I felt they pulled the whole series together in a way that sets up the future rebellion and how certain characters become involved.
