This was such a good listen. Well written, interesting characters and a great narrator. I can't think of a single thing that I didn't like about this book.
(He could Plead. He could apologize. He could ask for mercy. He could try to explain. But then he squared his shoulders and came to a decision. He had known the consequences of being caught and he had chosen to take the risk. He had no right now to plead for forgiveness.)
Someone explain how this teenager is more mature, more adult than like 90% of actual adults lol He's the kind of character you can get behind, the kind that you can't help but love and always root for.
"Take one more step and I'll put an arrow through you."
"Good idea! Aim for the left calf, it's a very painful wound."
Excuse me, sir, you are his TEACHER, you're supposed to dissuade this kind of behavior 😂 Then again, those bullying brats deserve it after what they've done!
I have to say, I ADORE Halt. He's such a good character and, in my head, I kind of picture him similar to Aragorn, at least with the hair. I can safely say I've added a new husband to my fictional harem.
