Love Her or Lose Her
by Tessa Bailey
This book features two Latinx characters and I appreciated seeing certain aspects of their culture seep into the story. Dominic, the male lead, has certain concepts of what a man's role in the household should be and it's clear that it has to do with the culture he grew up in. While gender roles in relationships aren't evil in and of itself, the story does a good job of showing that those gender roles should be flexible within the relationship.
In addition, the story showed a relationship that didn't have issues within their physical intimacy, but did have problems emotionally. Physical attraction in a relationship isn't enough and the story showcases that well. I really liked that Dom and Rosie had a circle of friends that were consistently there to support them. Sometimes I even had more fun getting to know the side characters then on the main couple. To be honest, Wes and Bethany were probably my favorite and I am looking forward to reading their story. Overall, an easy read with interesting characters that will be fun if you're looking for a romance about an already married couple (I know those are harder to find).
