Malamander is one of my all-time favorites and I could not wait to get my hands on Gargantis! We get back to the action with Herbert and Violet. This one takes place more on the sea than in Erie, but I loved it just as much.
The fantasy aspect and saving the town worked just as well as trying to find out Violet's past.
I love Erie and would give anything to visit the hotel and the town. It is so mysterious and you can almost feel the town in the writing.
This is one of my favorite middle grade series and I cannot wait for more adventures with Herbert , Violet and the town full of suspicious people. I cannot wait until the next mysterious monster comes to town.
