I am stupefied. I have no idea why I disliked this book when I read it as a child. I remember skimming lots of sections and not paying much attention. It is wonderful to be wrong sometimes.

My, what a good book! I could not put it down and finished it in a matter of hours. Yes, Anne was in it less, but she still felt like Anne when we did see her and the Merediths and the Blythe children were delightfully charming.

And the romance! It was so well written and captivating. 5 stars this time around, Rainbow Valley. For you’ve captured my heart like you captured the hearts of the children who love you so.
