This one unfortunately wasn't a standout for me when it comes to Unger's work. While I normally love a thriller set in New York, the details that stood out to me in this one were focused on the dangers of the city, which gave me a bit of an ick. The ghost and medium aspects also didn't fully do it for me...

I will say, the uneasiness throughout was very present and the looming presence of the Windermere (what initially drew me to the plot and I wish there was more of!!) added a nice gothic feel.

A fine read, but one that will slip from my mind pretty quickly.
