I usually enjoy books by Maguire, and the Alice stories are some of my favorites. But this book was dreadfully slow and boring. I found myself not caring about any of the characters and it didn't seem like much ever happened to them. Maguire has a way with words and there were some passages that were pleasant to read. But overall I wanted more from this book.
