I was really surprised by this book! I’d had it recommended to me without reading the premise, so it was a bit interesting going in blind.

Usually multi POV stories really bother me because of the lack of character development, but I really liked all the difference between the characters. I really felt like the author distinguished them and made them have and develop their own traits.

The plot was moving and didn’t really lag for me, so it was enjoyable and there wasn’t any parts that made me out it down. However, a lot of it was unrealistic (not the part about America being a monarchy) but little things I knew just didn’t make sense or little inconsistencies.

However, I really thought it was unique and a fun read. Excited to read the second!
