perhaps i had really high expectations for this as other SNL memoirs i’ve read have been both hilarious and deeply meaningful but alas this one was only a little funny

it starts with a massive disclaimer of how writing a book is hard and we should give her credit-which yes i think most people know writing a book is hard and this definitely hurt the book more than helped. the whole book felt like she was really reaching for word count and had nothing much to say. there’s no overall message there’s overall theme the stories were all fine but not all that interesting or insightful into her life or into life in general.
