I almost DNF'd this book and I feel like I should've. It wasn't for me apparently. I found Death and Signa's relationship to be.. bland at best? So bland in fact that I was hoping that Fate would be more exciting and gain Signa's affections. And the love triangle was hardly a love triangle on either end. Death was hardly around and when he was, there was hardly any affection. And seeing as Signa couldn't care less for Fate, that was also a dead-end.

I wasn't excited about Blythe's POV either. I'm not really sure why, but I really didn't care much for her storyline so reading her POV was more of a chore to me.

I think my lack of care for Blythe as a character is also why I didn't like the twist at the end of finding out that Blythe is Life.

As I found Death's relationship with Signa to be incredibly boring, I was hoping that Signa was Life. I found myself wanting her to end up with Fate and for there to be this huge scandal where in the past, Death stole Life from Fate, and Signa finds out about it through her memories.. and I really thought that was where the author was taking this book.. but then I found the ending to be disappointing as Blythe binds herself with Fate as his wife.. and turns out, Blythe IS Life? But then how was Signa "channeling" Blythe's Life power? How would she be able to do that if Signa, herself, is not Life?

It all just fell really flat for me.. I kept hoping it would get better the more that I read, but I wish I had just DNF'd it.
