Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
5.0

I was expecting to think this book was meh. I mean, Harry potter-ish? Let's be honest, nothing like that than be good, compared to the original. But I changed my mind. I feel in love with this book, head over heels.

The beginning was very Harry Potter. I felt like rolling my eyes at that. But somehow, Rowell her superpower kicked in and the characters became complete and alive and I started to care about them.

Recarding my statement in the first alinea: Tolkiens Lord of the Rings is the most epic fantasy written, but that doesn't mean all the other fantasy books cannot be good or even great.

So, If you love Harry Potter (how can you not!?) I highly recommend this book. PS The Dutch translation is very good :)

You may wonder, why have I read this book if I was expecting to 'meh' this? Well, there is a story.

I've read the Dutch book [b:Als geen ander|29199561|Als geen ander|Una LaMarche|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1455695627s/29199561.jpg|26493525] (which I HIGHLY recommend, as all my friends can tell you, whoops) and I loved it. A Dutch bookblog I Follow AdorableBooks had a giveaway with that book, this one and [b:Riders|23430471|Riders (Riders, #1)|Veronica Rossi|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1454219875s/23430471.jpg|42990995] (and a lot of bookswag, yay!). My friend Rowie really loves Rowell and she exepted that I wasn't planning on reading Carry On, but I told her 'if I win this thing, I will read it of course'. And I won.

And I freaking loved this book.

So, I promise Rowie: if you think I will like a book, I will not mark it as notinterested in Goodreads EVER AGAIN. This is evidence of this promise.
