Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo
Sometimes when books get really hyped up, I am nervous to read them. What if I don't like it or don't think it's all that good. Well... that was NOT the case with Six of Crows. Every good thing you hear about this book IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I can't believe how amazing these characters are and how attached I have become to them. I would literally die for Kaz... he's that amazing. I actually got my husband to laugh at some of his lines that I read to him. Aside from that, the story was incredibly rich and vivid. I felt like I was in the story and experiencing each chapter with the characters. I gasped a lot and there was one point I wanted to throw my book. But it was a good thing. I can't believe how much Leigh improved in between the series. I loved the Grisha trilogy, but she really went a step beyond with SoC.
We definitely need more heist stories in YA fantasy, but this satisfied every desire I could ever have for one.
