Just Getting Started
by Lacey Black, Kaylee Ryan
Just Getting Started is a perfect addition to the Fair Lakes series and I loved Gabby and Chase’s story so much! It was sweet, beautiful and emotional.
Chase comes across as a player, especially if you ask Gabby, however, he knows what he wants and will do anything he can to get her. Even if that means torturing himself and letting her live with him. Gabby can be stubborn and she has walls up to protect herself, but the moment those walls come down there is no denying her feelings.
I love the banter between Chase and Gabby. Everything with them felt so natural. I loved how they played off each other a lot of the time and it just added to their overall connection.
There were times I thought Gabby was going to freak out and run, but she didn’t. She stayed, she was even more supportive of Chase and wanted to do everything she could to help him. It made their connection and their relationship even stronger.
Just Getting Started is the second book in a series, however, it can easily be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading It’s Not Over for some extra background details. This story was a MUST READ for me!
