This was a highly anticipated read for me this year and it did not disappoint! I loved it so much, like loved it! Romantasy has been such a hit and miss lately for me. I feel like a lot of it is the same plot with different names. This felt different. 

The world building wasn’t over the top. It was just enough to help you understand and I enjoyed the Ancient Rome setting. The integration of dragons, gods, and witches. It all fit. The romance was everything. Julian is everything!

Such an easy book to get into for me. I was hooked just a few chapters in and it was a good time through the whole book. I cannot wait for the next book! Winter 2026 can’t come quick enough. 

Seriously though, read it if you want romance, fantasy, witches, political intrigue, and DRAGONS!.
