As soon as I finish bawling my eyes out, I'm gonna go talk about this on Periscope. I'm revisiting the books I loved as a kid and remembering why I loved them. This was an awesome place to start. When I reread things like this, I have to believe that any person who managed to grow up and be a jerk to people less powerful or physically/mentally able or rich or whatever than they are, clearly just didn't read enough. Freak the Mighty is an absolute lesson in empathy.
