I remember my teachers reading this to us in middle school. I wasn’t very interested at that time, but lately I’ve been reading a lot of dystopian books and I wanted to revisit this one. I’m glad I did because it is such a powerful and well written book. You think of describing things like sledding to someone who has no concept of what they are and how impossible that task must be. I am glad there are a couple follow up books and I plan to pick them up soon!
