I absolutely loved Power Plays and Straight A's so I immediately picked up the sequel!

Face off and Cheap Shots by Eden Finley and Saxon James follows scholarship student Christoper Jacobs and billionaires son TJ Beckett as the battle it out for the position of team captain of the CU Hockey Team.

The Good
Topher! I liked his character in the previous book and was happily to see this book focuses on him. Once Christopher and Beck stopped being such assholes to each other and accepted they were actually into each other the story got way more fun for me. I liked how low angst this book was in the later acts. It was a easy read and fun just seeing them figuring out their relationship.

The Bad
I considered dnf-ing this boom early on because the dynamic wasn't doing it for me. I really don't like bully-esque dynamics and Beck getting satisfaction from constantly shitting on Christopher wasn't giving off "fun banter" vibes to me.
