I’ve enjoyed books by this author in the past. This one was good, but it was a little predictable for me in certain parts. I did like the characters, and the setting. Now the book is kind of new adult, and kind of adult in my opinion. Aiden is a college hockey player and Dayna has moved home from college, I think for an internship? So basically still kind of a college student? Her ex does turn out to be a pretty big douche, but there are also some things about how she dealt with him that make me think she should have let him go a little earlier. Aiden is your stereotypical bad guy, at first, but is quickly won over and kind of mellows out around Dayna.
As I said it was pretty predictable, so if you’re looking for a sports romance with no real surprises, you just want to read and enjoy the characters and setting with nothing out of the ordinary, this would be the book for you!
