General description: Belly doesn't spend this summer at Cousin's beach, yet he still gets wrapped up with the boys. When Jeremiah calls Belly to say that Conrad has disappeared, Belly comes running. There is unfinished business with both Fisher boys that Belly needs to take care of, but will that make her stronger or leave her heartbroken?
The 3 stars:
- It is a quick read.
- I appreciated there was a more straightforward plot.
- Again, the parents in this book are making it for me.
The loss of 2 stars:
- I don't like Belly, Jeremiah, or Conrad if I'm being honest. They all have shown very little growth from the first book. I was expecting after a year passed to have some growth but I was mistaken.
- The ending was also very confusing and I feel like it ended that way ONLY to get a 3rd book out of this series.
Overall: If you read the first one, you may as well read this book and the next. It's quick enough.
