I’m glad I gave this series a second chance because this one was WILDLY better and very hot. I appreciated that just one of them was really the one with reservations/insecurities, and stemming from getting shuttled around the last few years. Another goofily terrible ex for the FMC, and a lack of real conflict, but a fun fluffy read.

I will say, I don’t think DPV counts as “no swords crossing”
