nitroglycerin 's review for:

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
4.0

So the whole time I was reading this I thought, for sure, that Rachel was the killer and she couldn't remember doing it. It's what the author wanted us to think obviously, but I fell for it. And then BAM!! two thirds of the way though it's like, woah, maybe it was Tom not Rachel. Megan was sleeping with someone else, could it have been Tom? Someone got in the car with him. Was it Megan??

So yes, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I didn't hate Rachel as a character as a few other reviewers have said. But that is perhaps because I empathise with her. She had it tough and handled it bad. Same with Megan. Anna, meh, I didn't care for her, but that was the authors intention really.

The book is well written and engaging. Five Stars!
