A Wish for Us
by Tillie Cole
Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for this. I knew going into it that it was going to be a sappy romance. I expected heart break and mushy prose. I really enjoyed the first half of the book. I read it quickly. I liked the story. The writing was good. The plot was unique, it just… should’ve been 100 pages shorter.
It had all the classic tropes - enemies to lovers, force proximity, brother’s best friend, slow burn, grumpy sunshine. It had all the makings to be really cute. However, the end fell flat. At the end of the day I was bored with how predictable it was and I just wanted it to end.
This book is probably for a lot of people, but it’s not for me.
