This is my favorite of the Wayward Children series thus far. It is quirky and whimsical with a touch of dark and a lot at stake. It's like The Wizard of Oz meets Greek mythology and it was awesome. I love how creative the worlds and the characters are. It's all just such fun. I'm able to fly through these books with just constant entertainment. There was a little lag in pacing a couple of times, but it was quickly resolved and then it was right back to the action and tension. I'm really enjoying Christopher's character and I hope there is an installment that will focus directly on him. However, all of the characters are intriguing and diverse and I love all of the different ways that McGuire has come up with for them to find their own worlds and discover themselves. This whole series is just a lot of fun.
