My 7 year old daughter and I listened to this, and loved it (though she thought it was a sad book because Amy and Dan are orphans and their grandmother also dies).

This was her first real mystery novel. She loved trying to guess at the clues and hypothesize about the answers. For an adult reading this on their own, the story may seem forced or obvious. But for an adult reading it with a cold, getting to experience it with them... You'll love it.
