"He Loves Me" by Carmen Rosales is the story of Ky and Rubi. This is book 2 in the series, so if you have not read Book 1, "He Loves Me Not," then this review may lose you. A small recap: Rubi and Ky, two kids who meet at the age of 11 from opposite sides of the tracks, are reunited years later, only to realize that they may have fallen out of love with each other. Still, this author has me invested in these characters. It is so well-written, and my only reason for giving this book 4 instead of 5 stars is that the ending felt a little rushed. I really wished for more details after a couple of scenes at the end. Carmen's writing style is awesome, and she creates captivating characters; also, their backstories magically overlap in some way. Rumor has it there may be more to come.
