Four and a half stars! I don’t know why I kept having a hard time picking this book back up. Every time I read it, I wanted more, and yet it was easy to just not pick it up. It was such a great story and it had some “endings” that helped tie up some aspects of the story, but there’s so much left to be told. Then again, I don’t know if I necessarily want solid endings for some of the characters. I like just imagining happy endings for some. Also, it needed a tad more romance, I guess. The flirting between Jesper and Wylan was cute, but I felt it wasn’t quite enough. Or maybe I just didn’t notice it? And the whole thing between Inej and Kaz is not done... I want to know that their relationship progresses positively. But, Kaz is quite messed up so... anyway, it was a great book that made me literally cry twice and gasp with anticipation and happiness. It would’ve gotten 5 stars if it had pulled me back to it stronger.
