The Holiday is one of my all-time favorite movies, so I feel slightly biased as I review this one but I just didn't LOVE this book. I loved the idea of an LGBTQIA+ retelling of the movie and I appreciated a lot of what happened in the book but I think it was trying to do too much and so I never really connected. Things felt a bit too rushed and since there were two different stories inside this one book it felt like we missed a lot of the depth that I get from other romance novels. Nevertheless, it is an adorable LGBTQIA+ Holiday book if you're looking for a quick read.
