This isn't a completely spice free book, but it does fade to black. However, the prose is just so beautiful and I loved it. She explains food and decor in such a way that I could actually picture things, and that is not very common for me. The words are woven in such a warm and comforting way. I love all the characters and I will be reading more from Lillie Vale.
