So I accidentally bought the second book in this series first, so I made a point to read this one. This series is interesting because of the emphasis on history, specifically the women's movement in England. The characters in this series are interesting, but didn't blow me away. This one had a lot of Beauty and the Beast vibes, with a very broody main man, but overall it was fine.
