Hidden Scars by Andi Jaxon
4.0

“He shows me that I’m lovable, even in the dark moments when everything tells me otherwise.”

I never expected what was in this book one bit.
This one broke my heart and slowly stitched it back up by the end.
The physical pain that came with the evolvement of Preston throughout was one that I won't forget.

Preston, oh Preston. I wanted to just reach in and hug him so hard. At that one pivotal point in the book when you get the "please" you just know how it sounded as it left his lips. His POV was definitely needed after we meet Jeremy.
Jeremy is that guy who is willing to be your friend even when you are a dick to him and even then afterwards. Jeremy accepts and when it comes down to it understands Preston, but when he gets the full story, that makes Jeremy the rock that Preston needs.

Going through the mental & emotional pain that we get from Preston was the toughest part of this one but it is what made this book. Preston is a guarded guy and when he meets Jeremy he knows he needs to try and keep him at arms length, only that doesn't work.
Emotions ran high throughout but the possessiveness from Preston was top tier when it came to Jeremy. Nobody is allowed to touch him, no one. Especially Brendon but that's another story for another time.

I love hockey romances to begin with but when you add in M/M and a possessive MMC, I will devour it in one sitting just like this one. Andi is a new author for me and I just happened to come across this one and said why not and went in blind. I am glad I read this book, this can get added to my ever growing collection of M/M books that I love.
