Dark Matter
by Blake Crouch
Excellent application of the scientifictional principle ("change a thing and follow the thing"). It was a real button-clicker (what they used to call a "page-turner").
My big criticism is the same as I would have for most action movies (which this would probably make a very good one): the protagonist is overly competent in action movie skills. He just seemed too good at stunt-driving, gun-shooting, and general combat (I know, for a lot of the book he was facing similarly-experienced people, but not always). Of course this tends to make the books more exciting, so I it's forgiven.
