Books with dogs make me cry. I wish the autistic representation felt more...representative? But everybody's experiences are diverse so I suppose the autistic author does find these experiences to be ones fae've had. I mostly jus wish this wasn't a foster kid book, because it feels very clear to me that that's the one experience that the author can't speak authentically to, and it shows.
Graphic: Bullying, Transphobia
Moderate: Abandonment
Minor: Child abuse, Death of parent
