Devil's Way
by Robert Bryndza
medium-paced

Robert Bryndza always manages to take the most complicated storylines and weave them together in a way that makes sense, and keeps you guessing. This one started off a little slow for me, and I was wondering what was going to happen to speed things along, but once all the pieces started coming together, man, did it all happen.
Kate and Tristan's case was a tough one - this one involves a child - and all the little parts of this case that came together for the conclusion made it one hell of a ride. I wasn't expecting it to play out how it did. I will admit that at the beginning I thought it was the culprit who it turned out to be, but it seemed to easy, or too obvious, or, I don't know, just something that couldn't possibly be the answer.
In the end, the way this tale is woven together, brings out a solution that can go many ways. It's kind of a bittersweet one. Another well written story from this author, and I always look forward to more. Would recommend.
