Where the Crawdads Sing
by Delia Owens
Wow! There were so many amazing aspects in this book - the plot itself, the character building and the epic world building. Delia make the marsh come to life. I was obsessed with this book since I started reading it. I really enjoyed the timeline and waiting to figure out where the story was going to go.
The whole aspect of living alone and learning how to fend for yourself as a child is mind-boggling. Also how her parents could just disappear like that (we do learn more later).
Kya was an immense character and you got to see her change as she aged. Her tenacity and wisdom, even with all her trials, was amazing!
I honestly could go on and on and still am thinking about the ending! So so good!
