My Vampire Plus-One
by Jenna Levine
My Vampire Plus -One is the latest by Jenna Levine. If you are familiar with My Roommate is a Vampire, then you might remember Reginald. This time we get to know him and his eccentric fun self. If you haven’t read it, do not worry as this can be read as a stand alone. Cassie and Frederick do make appearances, but this story is all about Reggie and Amelia and their fake dating.
Amelia seems to be the only single person in her family and with another cousin getting married and the pressure from her mom to not be single, Amelia decides at a family dinner to announce she in fact does have a boyfriend and a plus one for the upcoming wedding. The problem… it’s a lie and now she must find someone to go along with her on this fake dating scheme. That is where Reggie comes in who has a problem of his own. He has a group after him, and this fake dating scheme might just be a solution to get them off his tracks.
While I did enjoy the first book, this sequel is so much more fun. I absolutely loved Reggie. He is not clueless to the technology of today and doesn’t come off as helpless which I felt Fredrick was in the prior book. This really had me rooting for him through the book. He is very in tune with his feelings and what he wants as he keeps a daily bullet journal and also talks regularly on a discord to get advice which I loved!
If you loved My Roommate is a Vampire then I’m positive you will love My Vampire Plus- One even more!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
