We know the damn silly things we've done for a thousand years and as long as we know that and always have it around where we can see it someday we'll stop making the goddamn funeral pyres and jumping in the middle of them. We pick up a few more people that remember every generation" (Bradbury 162)

This is one of those American classics I swore I had *probably* read in high school lit, but after listening for a hour, I knew I hadn’t. It’s classic dystopian science fiction and every other page is a remarkable quote or takeaway. Tim Robbins narration was intense, rapid, and moving.

Only complaint was towards the end, with the men and their books. Not a female “book” or author among them. Oh, literature of the 50’s.
