I loved this book, I had a big smile on my face when I finished reading it. It's cute and whimsical, imaginative and fun, with great characters. I enjoyed the first book in the Rainbow Grey series and this is even better. It is probably one of the best books I have personally read for the intended age group (about 7 to 9). 

Laura Ellen Anderson is both the author and the illustrator, and I simply love her illustrations, they really add to the experience of reading the book. I also really like the design of the sprayed edges on the Waterstones exclusive edition. 

I am very much looking forward to book 3.
