The Switch
by Beth O'Leary
This book was very different than the other two romcoms I read by O'Leary since it is more about three women in a family trying to move on after a tragedy and figure out how to live again. There were some romances involved but they weren't the focus of the main plot. I really enjoyed this book! Leena switches homes/lives with her grandmother and namesake Eileen for two months after being forced to take a vacation. Sassy grandma, who is looking for an adventure after being left by cheating grandpa, is excited but nervous to go to London and try her hand at dating. Meanwhile, workaholic granddaughter gets to know the village folks in rural Yorkshire and finds herself enjoying the slower life more than she anticipated. All the while, these two and mom figure out how to exist while grieving the loss of Leena's sister Carla a year earlier. The narrators were really great, and I was surprised to discover that the grandma was voiced by the actress who played Mrs. Bennett in the A&E Pride and Prejudice miniseries!
