The Bachelor Auction
by Rachel Van Dyken

The Bachelor Auction is the first book in Bachelors of Arizona series by Rachel Van Dyken. The Bachelors of Arizona series is an adult contemporary romance series, but I feel like it will have crossover appeal to the new adult audience as well. I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, fun and cute read, so a quick little mini review will do for this one.
The Bachelor Auction is a a take on a Cinderella story, and I loved the main woman- Jane. She stole the show for me. I found her to be charming and delightful really. I also like Brock but I didn't fully love him. I think Brock is the reason why out of all Rachel's books I have read, this one is not my number one pick. It does have Rachel's signature witty and fun writing style. I really love her writing, by the way. And because she is such a strong writer, her romances are always really enjoyable to read, but Brock was a bit too wimpy in some regards for me. And now, I have to say. I get it, I am also not the best with decisiveness. But it is a quality I am trying to work on in myself and it is certainly not one of my strong suits. So while I get it, I didn't love it about Brock either. (This may very well be just my hang up.) I can see a lot of readers totally falling in love with Brock and Jane. I really liked the two of them and their romance, but it was mostly because of Jane and the excellent writing.
Bottom line: If you are a fan of quick, and cute romances and you like Rachel Van Dyken's books, The Bachelor Auction will be right up your alley. I enjoyed this one a lot. It was a cute read that was very funny. It made me smile, but It wasn't my favorite of Rachel's books. (I love some of her other books so much that it is hard to top them!) Still a good read, and totally worth it. I will be continuing with this series, and I can't wait to see what the next book has in store for us.
