It was a bit touch and go there for a while but the emotional depth of this one sent me over the edge!
Lorenzo is a widower and so is dealing with finding a new love despite everything about his devotion to her telling him not to.
The FMC Mia has fled an abusive relationship and the two have to navigate finding love and it is beautiful.
Yes, this was smutty and filthy and dark and all that stuff was so so great but how worked through their emotions and how the author displays the feelings of loss was so beautiful. I cried twice!!
This was went on a bit long imo as they took a while to wrap things up but I was happy regardless because i love these characters even more so that the New York Ruthless bunch.
