Malibu Rising
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Taylor Jenkins Reid is the queen of characters. She did it again with this book. I love her development, her style and the way she draws you into the story.
I could feel the 80s, the salt in the air and the beach in this story. I really enjoyed it and loved hearing about the siblings.
The story takes place in two different time periods and all connects together in the end. I definitely would love to know more about the siblings, as the story did wrap up in the end, but I really felt invested in who they were becoming.
The story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming, seeing how hard it would have been to stay together as a family after a loss. I definitely recommend if you have been a fan of Reid's other books, this is on par with her amazing storytelling skills.
