suuuper cool new magical world building with the new ways to channel elements, new flavor of demons, and the dinar channeling coins. but this book has been the weakest of the series thus far. the characters were developed decently but their motivations and actions were absent or rushed respectively. not enough time was really spent on bela’s grief despite it being a defining trait for her and her whole quad. as always i don’t think windsor is very good at writing combat cause that last 100 pages were a slog, but god i do love this universe
