Does this rating system go to 10? Why NOT?!
I am so mad that a simple vote or two kept this from being the Newbery Winner this year. (I have been on the committee three times now so I know what goes on in those rooms/zoom rooms). This rockets past the book the 2022 committee gave the award to (& I am a huge science fiction fan). Putting this on my "Shoulda Been Newbery" list of Silver medals (and a few non-medals) that should have been Gold medals...

This book is everything--funny, sad, happy, golden, sweet, scary, real...MOST DISTINGUISHED.
