haelyn and tristan were cute. i wasn’t a huge fan of how they met tbh, which is one of the book’s main tropes lol. i liked how they came from very different backgrounds but complimented and understood each other and their struggles. they never downplayed each other.

unlike the first book, this storyline was less ~~chaotically~~ plot-focused and was more of a generic contemporary romance. i was bored at times because of the lack of actual plot but i did like the friends and found family in this. the ending felt rushed imo but the epilogue was cute.

thankfully, the author retracted that statement and apologized. that is when i decided to post my review and i will not rate it higher.
