I loved the first book in this series but this was... not great. I suppose it's written well, but the love triangle aspect is just AWFUL. It all could have been solved by just one thing: telling the truth. For someone who says the other person is their best friend, they sure are okay with lying to them time and time again. I HATED THIS. There was a prank that was also just basically assault, so much lying and betrayal, they barely felt like actual friends and there wasn't much chemistry between Phoenix and Holden, but there sure was a lot of smut. I don't know... I'm hoping for better in the next book.
